An odd bug in Mississippi
One of the planes on display at Keesler AFB - it was the last one I took a picture with because it was harder to get to and they were doing construction in the area for awhile.
Running at sea level is definitely easier...I got 6 miles in exactly an hour on the track. It's not as fun running on the circular track, but they locked us down because of more nonsense, so I had no choice.
My training squadron at Keesler AFB where I spent the last 5 months.
Finally getting out of Mississippi and heading home!!! Here's my plane out of Biloxi.
Goodbye, Mississippi - I will not miss you!
My flight home could not have had more delays...I should have flown home on Thursday, but wasn't able to fly out until Saturday because of a crazy snow-storm in Dallas, Texas, where most outgoing flights from Biloxi go. Then my flight out of Biloxi was delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight in Dallas, so I was stuck there for most of the day. To pass the time, I rode the 'uplink' around the terminal for a few hours.
Dusty playing in the fresh snow
I finally made it home!!! I surprised Chad and the boys, so they had no idea I was coming and were shocked when I walked in the door. Jonathan jumped into my arms, but Andrew had to take a few minutes to process it all before he would give me a hug - 7 months is a long time to be gone! I left home on July 21, 2020 and got home on February 20, 2021.
They just wanted to snuggle all evening, thankfully it was a weekend, so they didn't have to get up for school the following morning.
